March’s birthstone is one of the varieties of Beryl making it amongst the most valuable and sought after gemstones used in luxury jewels. While many minerals are found deep down in the Earth, Aquamarine is mostly found high up in the mountainous regions of Brazil, Nigeria, Zambia, Madagascar, and Pakistan. Like all Beryl, it’s a very hard and tough stone that forms into large crystals making it less susceptible to inclusions.
