Tanzanite is found only in the beautiful country of Tanzania and is a thousand times rarer than Diamonds. While the most well known variations of Tanzanite are Periwinkle and Vivid Blue, the stone is originally an Earthy shade of brown, similar to the sunset on a warm day.

It’s only after it’s been treated with heat that the colors change from a champagne peach color to the vivid blues and purples you’re used to. We at Monarchy Jewels appreciate the vivid journey of light and heat that makes its way through this color changing and adapting stone so we often feature a variation called Peacock Tanzanite in some of our pieces.
